India's Foreign Policy Blunder

India a vast country which is famous for its 3D’s, one is democracy and the other two are diversity and demarcations. The latter one is added in the list recently after the confrontation of Indian army at two fronts, namely northern, northeastern and in addition to that Indo-Nepal Territorial issue. But there are a lot of reasons which pushed India into this whole game of territorial autonomy.

Diplomatic Blunder

In today’s world upfront proclamation of war against an enemy nation is not the solution. This is where Diplomacy comes into the play, but unfortunately sometimes in a world full of nationalistic rhetoric, vote bank politics, the main point behind Diplomacy remain buried. The government must restrain themselves from indulging in sensitive Foreign policy issues and the only exception is when the head of Gov i.e Prime Minister of the country himself want to address the nation about it. But here also Mr Modi did a blunder after making a statement which supported China’s claims of not entering into Indian territory and put the whole blame on Indian Army for the confrontation of 18th June. After all, We didn’t live in a fairy tale world, so expecting from the government to do what they are expected to do is a bit unfair on our part.

Foreign Policy Blunder

Global outlook in today’s world is an oil of the economic machinery of one country, if it is positive then the economy will boom but the same doesn’t happen in case of the contrary. Indian Ministry of Foreign affairs should have tightened their belts after the abrogation of Article 370 or after the strong rhetorical speech of Amit Shah about Aksai Chin itself. The best it could have done was to counter Pakistan’s arguments against abrogation by pointing out their attempt to change the Political structure of POK themselves. This Could’ve not only proved our "peace-loving" neighbours hypocrisy but also would’ve tarnished its image of being the voice of Kashmir at any Global Conference.

The China Way -

It’s quite clear that the sudden meeting of Minister of External Affairs Mr S. Jaishankar with his Chinese counterparts after the abrogation of Article 370 or Shah’s Aksai Chin speech, didn’t yielded the desired results. But what Could’ve India done to avoid it? Quite clearly China’s assertiveness Could’ve been controlled by only pinching the point where it hurts the most vis -a -vis SOUTH CHINA SEA. India NAM policy is quite useless in this world where nothing is constant, so India should try their luck in the South China Sea and Join up with the US and other allies namely Japan and Taiwan fighting for the same cause i.e. humiliating China which would further help in Defeating it.

At the same time, no-one likes hostile neighbours so India should try ignoring harsh Nepali government statements and further resolve the Territorial Issue diplomatically. India also need to Change its present stance, from being a mere observer in Afghanistan Political Situation,

it should better get the discussions rolling with both Taliban and Ghani Gov because the last thing India wants is another terror exporter in its picture. So what would be the plan of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the coming days, only God knows but from what we know, it wouldn’t be easy.
